We are writing to invite you to attend the launch of Embracing Chaos, the new book of Stavros Papagianneas. The event will take place on Wednesday 17 November 2021 at 18.00 at the Brussels Press Club, Rue Froissart 95, 1040 Brussels and will be presented by Lucy Hough (ITV, LBC).
The publication is about the value of communications and true leadership. Embracing Chaos is about the new normal due to the pandemic. It is a call for more empathy and compassion in the world. It is about the different crises during the last decade: the financial crisis, the identity crisis, the migration crisis, the Brexit crisis, the COVID19 crisis and the climate crisis. We live on the edge, from crisis to crisis, and one of the main things we can do is become more resilient and respect our planet.
Embracing Chaos offers a valuable view of the challenges for the European Union to become a real federation - the United States of Europe - and for the West in general in defending liberal democracy. The volume describes how populism is being driven by the increase in the social divide and rising inequality and why the West needs to protect its values from propaganda from Russia & China and illiberal democracies. Fascinating in the book is the idea of creating a new Union of the West between Europe and North America.

Bio Stavros Papagianneas
With a background including positions such as Communication Officer at the European Commission and Press Officer and Spokesperson to diplomatic missions in Brussels, Stavros is currently the Managing Director of Brussel's PR consultancy StP Communications and the founder of Steps4Europe (S4E). S4E is a non-profit association that aims to reinforce the European Public Sphere and promote EU values. In 2017, 2018 & 2019, Stavros was named by the pan-European news platform Euractiv as one of the TOP 40 EU Influencers and, is a public speaker and blogger. Stavros has been a member of the Working Party on Information of the Council of the European Union. He is the author of the books : Powerful Online Communication (2016); Rebranding Europe. Fundamentals for Leadership Communication (2017); Saving Your reputation in the Digital Age (2020); Embracing Chaos (2021) and,many articles in European media. Stavros is a graduate in Communication Sciences from the University of Brussels and has given lectures on Communicating Europe in universities across the EU.
